Deck the World with Christmas Cheer! Meeting the performers and Interview!

In just three class sessions, our young stars at Limelight 8 pulled off something truly magical — a full music video production of the original holiday song “Deck the World with Christmas Cheer.” From learning choreography to recording vocals and filming scenes, everything happened right here in our studio. Even the lyrics and music were created in-house!

Question: if you could decorate the world with Christmas cheer what would you use: lights, candy, cane, snow, or something else?

Wyatt: I would use lights to light up the world and make it happy.

Lily: I would use joy and ornaments, candy canes, anything that's sweet.

Question: which is better singing Christmas songs or opening presents? Be honest!

Wyatt: I like singing Christmas songs with other people.

Lily: Both!

If Santa Claus watches this music video, what do you think he'd say?

Wyatt: he'd said ho ho ho that was amazing!

Lily: I think he would be happy, filled with joy, and he would love it.

Question: Do think the elves reindeer would be better back up dancers why?

Wyatt: I think the elves would be because I feel like they would understand more than reindeer.

Lily: I think Rudolph would be the best one. Cuz he has some really good, um, like really good I would say like lighting and stuff and when he dances  like it gets dark he knows what to do so yeah with his big bright NOSE!

Question: What was your favorite part about being in this music video?

Wyatt: I liked when we um were uh like filming up here when we are like decorating a Christmas tree and throwing snowballs and laughing.

Lily: probably um singing with Wyatt cuz he is my BFF

Question: How did it feel to sing and perform in front of the camera?

Wyatt: It felt really good.  I feel… I feel really happy about doing this actually.

Lily: I really loved it!

What was the funniest or silliest moment while filming?

Wyatt: Definitely when we were throwing snowballs.

Lily: When I hit him with the candy cane

Question: Do you think you would want to perform in more music videos here at Limelight 8?

Wyatt: Yes! Yes, definitely!

Lily: Yes!!
